Large description:

An excellent opportunity has emerged for an Outreach Support Worker to join a leading local authority client in Lancashire for an initial period of three months.

The successful candidate must have had at least 6 months experience of working with Children and Families and possess good skills of engaging with children and young people.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential for this role.

The role will include:

* Carrying out assessments of the care provided by parents to their children. This to be carried out with full consideration of the individual needs and safety of children.

* Provide feedback, advice and support to parents about their care.

* Provide support to young persons in terms of learning independent living skills.

* Supervise young children and engage them in play while parents attend Case Conferences or LAC Reviews.

At least 2 years experience at this level is essential, along with being a car driver with business insurance and the ability to work 37.5 hours a week, plus rostered on call duties.
