Location: Manchester Central
Key Duties:
To deliver a high quality tenancy compliance and support service to identified families who are homeless, or may be threatened with homelessness, with high support needs and a history of anti-social behaviour.
To help the family take up and positively engage with support services provided by both statutory and voluntary agencies, with the aim of ensuring the family is appropriately supported and therefore able to contribute positively to the community and abide by their tenancy agreement.
To work flexibly and positively to establish and maintain close liaison and joint working with Manchester Housing Estate Management and Neighbourhood Nuisance teams, Social Services, the Youth Offending Team and Probation Service, the Police and any other agency involved in the supervision or support of clients including ACP (Area Casework Panels).
To take immediate and appropriate action, including liaison with other relevant agencies, where clients may pose a risk to the community.
To provide appropriate welfare rights advice to service users and pro-actively support them in assisting them to access all appropriate services, income, grants, etc.
To maintain computer databases relevant to the service. To maintain manual record keeping systems and comprehensive, auditable client files.
To work proactively and manage your own workload. To be able to respond and make appropriate decisions for example when faced with unexpected circumstances.
Professional:
Experience of delivering support packages in line with multi agency assessments and where appropriate actively promote new and inventive solutions to problems.
Understanding of the management or risk posed to the community and the determination to ensure action is taken, whether by self or other professionals, to maintain and promote safe communities.
Active written, oral communication, numeracy and IT skills.
Must hold a current clean driving licence and have daily access to a vehicle.
